The Global Events Senior Marketing Manager Role
The Global Events Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing compelling events that create meaningful brand experiences and drive business results. This role works closely with the Senior Director, Global Events to define and support Qlik’s event program strategy, recommend new ideas and event opportunities, strengthen overall operational effectiveness, and evaluate event program performance and results. This position requires a high degree of collaboration across various internal teams, executive leadership, partners/sponsors, and event vendors.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
- Provide strategy, plan, execute, and manage key event programs such as Qlik’s Global Tier 1 tradeshows and tech partner events.
- Lead and provide ownership of assigned workstream tasks for global Qlik hosted events such as Sales Kickoff and Qlik’s global user conference, Qlik Connect.
- Creates and manages event project timelines
- Sets goals and objectives aligned with marketing OKRs
- Forms project teams to support event execution and facilitates reoccurring meetings to drive project plan and timeline
- Ability to work under pressure and face challenges with ease
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Strong ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively, maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to manage budgets, including tracking spending
- Experience with contracts, negotiations, and requirements from suppliers (hotels, vendors, etc.)
- Familiarity with various event software, including Cvent and more
- Experience in running B2B software and/or tech-related events is a plus
- Experience executing third-party tradeshows
- Events and/or meeting industry certifications are a plus
- Strong presentation skills and ability to deal with ambiguity are a must
- Ability to travel for events and planning purposes as needed

- Proactively identifies risks and potential issues to programs and suggests actionable solutions
- Applies & enforces the company brand, look and feel to all event marketing programs
- Ensures that themes and messages are applied appropriately and consistently
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including other marketing groups, sales, product management, and global programs teams to ensure consistency of message and theme is woven into the events
- Forward and creative thinking on event execution from look and feel to content management
- Provides content for event activations inclusive of communication and social media assets, booth assets, third-party speaking opportunities, and event websites
- Evaluate and manage vendor relationships
- Adheres to event budgets and communicates with key stakeholders to convey spending limits
- Identifies, tracks, and measures ROI metrics
- Sources venues for events as needed and reviews contracts of supporting events
- Closes out each event program with timely surveys, reporting, final messaging & ROI measurement
We’re looking for a teammate with:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business
- 5+ years of event experience, directly managing large-scale physical events and conferences
- Strategic thinker with strong project management skills
- Proven track record of fostering cross-functional collaboration
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Self-starter with leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire others
- Results-oriented with demonstrated analytical skills
The location for this role is:
-King of Prussia, PA, or Remote East Coast

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $ 94,930.00 USD MIN – $ 135,000.00 USD MAX per year. The final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package.
