Role Summary:
The Manager, ESG Reporting will report directly to the Director, Energy and Sustainability, and will provide ongoing support in the development and delivery of Pure’s ESG program and associated reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining Pure’s data collection, management systems, processes, and reporting.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to support Pure’s ESG program and to maintain strong data governance practices for ESG-related reporting. The role requires someone with strong problem solving, research and analysis, and written and verbal communication skills.
Core Responsibilities:
Data Management & Reporting
- Lead the collection, quality assurance and analysis of data relevant to periodic ESG reporting and addresses data discrepancies to ensure integrity of reporting.
- Manage systems and processes for data collection and reporting to internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership, investors, government/regulatory, and certification bodies.
- Manage internal and external ESG reporting and disclosure activities, including content development, ensuring quality of deliverables in line with company standards, and that milestones and deadlines are met.
- Develop and present appropriate responses and reports, appropriate for the audience, including but not limited to: board reports, presentations, data summaries.
- Evaluate opportunities to improve existing ESG data platforms, tools, processes, and related internal controls to ensure ESG data reliability and accuracy. Work closely with internal business units to implement robust, audit-proof reporting processes and internal controls.
- Support Business Intelligence initiatives, further automate and streamline sustainability related calculations and reporting and explore ability to drive deeper analytics (e.g. predictive analytics, sensitivity analyses) and insights, as well as deployment of self-service tools, such as PowerBI.
- Assess emerging reporting regulations and their impact on sustainability reporting measures and disclosures (i.e. ISSB Climate Change and Sustainability reporting/disclosure prototypes/exposure drafts/standards).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across internal teams to pull together ESG reporting across the organization and to ensure in-depth understanding of their sustainability measurement and reporting needs.
- Act as the primary contact point on any escalated sustainability measurement and reporting related issue/matter.
- Ensure Standard Operation Procedures and other documentation supporting ESG reporting activities are in place, follow best practice and are properly maintained.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in sustainability, environmental studies, data analytics, engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of work experience in a sustainability-related field
- Solid understanding of ESG reporting and disclosure requirements, standards, and frameworks (including, but not limited to ISSB, CSSB, CSRD, SASB and GRESB).
- Working experience in managing ESG data collection and reporting processes.
- Skilled in building performance data analysis with ability to interpret sustainability KPIs to drive improved performance.
- Ability to manage and track large amounts of data, and to articulate a clear and meaningful message supported by data.
- Detail-oriented and analytically inclined; comfortable working with and analyzing large amounts of complex data.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, experience with programming languages (SQL, Python) and with analytics and dashboarding (PowerBI, Tableau). Experience with Microsoft Fabric is considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support the accurate provision of ESG information to internal and external stakeholders, other languages an asset (e.g., French).
