Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with a wide range of departments to ensure continued departmental and corporate success. The Senior Coordinator, Construction is accountable for tracking, planning, reporting and executing of Landlord’s work, corporate offices, assisting in the review of Tenant’s work and execution of capital work as required. This position works across a wide variety of functional areas and teams including departmental leads, external advisors, consultants, vendors and other third parties to ensure successful tracking, reporting and execution.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent problem solving, task management, organizational, communication and facilitation skills. They should also be passionate, committed, have strong attention to detail, while at the same time being coachable and open to new methods. They should have a demonstrated track record of administrative experience in a high functioning, fast-paced environment.

 

Core Responsibilities

1. Landlord’s Work

  • Assist with all aspects from initial scope creation through budgeting, execution, closeout and handover, ensuring delivery in accordance with approval timelines and scopes. This includes all aspects from the initial estimate through to project closeout
  • A key member of the team during timeline, scope and lease clause reviews
  • Proactive short-, medium- and long-term planning of the vacant suite program
  • Assist with the yearly budget and quarterly forecasting of active and planned projects as well as the vacant suite program
  • Assist in establishing and enforcing Sustainable Design, BOMA Best, LEED standards

 

2. Tenant’s Work

  • Assist in the review and approval of tenant drawings, plans, specifications and equipment
  • Attend sites and meetings as needed

 

3. Corporate Facilities

  • Assist with the expansion and renovation program for Pure’s corporate real estate
  • Liaise with the Corporate Services, IT, HR and senior leadership teams to help facilitate growth and ensure Pure consistent, quality workplaces
  • Attend sites and meetings as needed

 

4. Capital Projects

  • Assist, as needed, with the day-to-day aspects of all recoverable and non-recoverable capital
  • Budget, plan, tender and execute a range of building related projects
  • Responsible for all project finance related activities (invoicing, budgeting, reporting, forecasting)
  • Selecting the right consultants, contractors and contracts for each project
  • Ensure alignment across stakeholders

 

5. Other

  • Responsible for project benchmarking, cost library, organization of common drive and issuing PO’s
  • Act as a resource for internal groups including Investments, Property Management & Asset Management
  • Assist with company-wide procurement efforts
  • Other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • The ideal candidate possesses at least 2-3 years of related experience in project management, property management, or construction environment.
  • Experience with PO’s, capital expenditure, invoice processing, accruals and Yardi Job Cost
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills to with the ability to liaise with all levels within the organization; to work effectively with specialists across multiple sectors
  • Ability to cover teams of multiple professionals and manage multiple priorities with competing timelines
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to work well in a small team environment
  • Fluency in English is a requirement, fluency in French would be an asset

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $75,000 to $95,000/year 
 
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
