The Quality Control Inspector will manage and lead quality inspection through all phases of the manufacturing process including final inspection of fully assembled machines.  They will partner closely with manufacturing by developing SOPs and quality checks, perform root cause analysis and strategize to find solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Inspect parts and in process, final and fully assembled machines using industry appropriate methods such as comparing to standards, measuring dimension and examining functionality.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify quality issues and to propose and implement solutions to these issues.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the inspection area.
  • Lead meetings with internal partners and customers to facilitate problem resolution, drive implementation and develop training to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain non-conforming material system including coordination and disposition. Coordinate resolution with other departments and collaborates with engineering and suppliers to determine disposition of non-conforming part.
  • Calibrate employee owned gages. Oversee outside calibration including sending out gages for repair and investigate new tools and initiate purchase requests.

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum of  5 years experience in a Quality related field working in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement or related field.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or other quality certification.
  • A desire to learn new things, and to share what you know with your team
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Use of a variety of hand measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, height gages, surface plates, etc
  • Understanding of Quality System requirements (Non conforming material, calibration, identification and traceability, etc.)
  • Blueprint reading abilities including GD&T
  • Proficiency in the use of computers (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Coordinate non-conforming material reviews and handling of disposition
  • CMM knowledge and experience

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
 
$67,362 - $84,202 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, based on company and/or individual performance.
