Our Buyer Planners develop and implement common supply chain processes, planning tools, and demand management strategies for assigned commodities executing to drive inventory control, planning, buying, analyzing, and communication. They balance supply schedules to support forecasted demands and customer orders to make sure our customers have what they need! Job requires onsite presence in Whitewater, WI.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain uninterrupted supply and inventory of products to meet operating plan objectives (inventory turns, service level, safety stock target levels, and cost goals).
- Responsible for MRP and Demand Planning implementation and execution for all assigned commodities. Manage and execute supplier transitions
- Analyze and make recommendations for minimum and incremental DRP quantities and DRP coverage and maintain system parameters
- Manage and maintain supplier programs for assigned commodities including the implementation of Kanban Replenishment, Consigned Vendor Managed Inventory and (VMI) Programs
- Create purchase orders, supplier requirement forecasts, and supplier build strategy to meet customer demands
- Responsible for supplier order execution and working with operations to ensure that our on time delivery, cycle time and fill rate goals are met for assigned commodities and suppliers.
- Analyze inbound requirements balancing order quantities and transportation economies (i.e. maintain high container / truck utilizations).

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in supply chain function required
- Experience purchasing manufactured components both in metal fabrication and machined components preferred
- Knowledge of distribution/transportation requirement
- Experience managing aftermarket supply chain
- CPM, CPIM and or APICS preferred
