Our Manufacturing Engineering Technician will manage and organize our tool inventory to ensure the proper tooling and fixtures required are ordered/made and ready for our machinists. 
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Assemble kits containing all necessary tools for specific production tasks. Assist in cost-saving initiatives related to both tools and kitting materials.
  • Create and modify CNC programs for machining centers (mills, lathes, etc.) based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining.
  • Use CAM software to simulate and verify CNC programs before actual production runs.
  • Diagnose and resolve CNC programming issues during production.
  • Monitor tool life to help prevent premature tool wear during CNC operations.  Track tool usage and recommend replacements based on wear patterns.
  • Determine routings based on engineering drawings and specifications.  Evaluate engineering drawing with VISI, Inventor, Pro E and other engineering software.

What You’ll Need: 
  • A desire to learn new things, apply what you already know, and never shy away from sharing your opinion to improve a product or process
  • Hands on experience and knowledge of machining. Knowledge of fabricating, welding, and finishing of metals a plus
  • Knowledge in CAD systems, G-Code programming, and Microsoft Office Tools
  • Strong communications skills to coordinate with the shop and engineering
