The Production Supervisor is responsible for responding to customer needs and supporting day-to-day operations within the paper plant. This role involves staffing, supervising, evaluating, and developing employees as needed while adhering to the forecast and budget. The supervisor sets daily/weekly goals for the plant and ensures they are met, while also coordinating plant activities in the absence of the Paper Operations Manager.
What You’ll do:
- Oversee the scheduling of converting equipment and manage the purchasing and receipt of waxed roll stock, cases, adhesives, pallets, and packaging supplies.
- Ensure compliance with Paper Plant Quality procedures and programs.
- Manage customer-related functions, including order acceptance, quotations, expediting, and correspondence.
- Supervise staff, ensuring proper staffing levels, coordinating work, training, motivating, evaluating performance, and providing coaching and discipline as needed
- Conduct annual performance reviews and maintain competency reports to ensure successful cross-training.
- Prepare raw material forecasts, collaborate with suppliers, and adjust inventory as needed.

What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in field.
- At least three years of experience in a supervisory role within a production/manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in math for reporting and metrics.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A solid understanding of production processes and material flow.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location, and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
$87,000 - $108,00 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, based on company and/or individual performance.
