The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing a supply base to support R&D, Production, and Service needs. They create and implement commodity strategies that align with future supply and technology requirements. Building strong supplier relationships, the specialist works to improve performance in safety, cost, quality, and delivery. They also design sourcing strategies to achieve the lowest total costs, optimize asset management, and ensure early supplier involvement in product development. Continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cycle times is key to their role.Scope includes direct and indirect categories, excluding logistics.

What You’ll do:
- Analyze current spend, processes, and practices to develop and deploy a direct material sourcing strategy that aligns with business goals, including supplier consolidation, process standardization, cost reduction, and process digitization.
- Lead the Sourcing Team in identifying and selecting approved suppliers capable of meeting established part and material requirements.
- Develop plans to achieve Annual Operating Plan goals, focusing on supplier rationalization, cost management, productivity, lead-time reduction, working capital improvement, and quality/delivery performance.
- Drive key supplier performance to meet Provisur's sourcing and business goals, including productivity, working capital, cycle time reduction, and quality/delivery improvements.
- Negotiate and implement supply agreements with strategic suppliers to align with Provisur's objectives and drive synergy opportunities for productivity, efficiency, and working capital optimization.
- Become an expert in economic, competitive, and supply base knowledge for procured products, with insight into the best-in-region suppliers for each commodity.
- Manage supplier agreements and coordinate with Procurement and Quality to support global sourcing goals, playing an active role in resolving critical quality and delivery issues.

What You’ll Need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management
- 8 - 10 years of experience in global Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain for Fortune 200 companies.
- Manufacturing knowledge of low volume, global high mix environment.
- Experience sourcing in best cost countries; China, South America, Eastern Europe, Mexico
- PMP, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma certifications is a plus
- Ability to work with, manage and influence all levels of leadership.
- Excellent communication skills.
