Our Technical Service Manager is a front-line, employee-facing leader who plans, directs and coordinates the activities of the Technical Service Department. You'll be responsible for leading the team of local and remote Technical Service Representatives and Field Service Technicians to enhance customer satisfaction, strengthen customer equipment utilization and improve overall equipment performance. Job requires onsite presence in Mokena, IL.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the technical service team and assure prompt response and resolution to customer issues. 
  • Leverage Salesforce Service Cloud to effectively manage service cases, track common service themes and provide feedback to Engineering. Work closely with the engineering group to improve equipment performance, quality and safety.
  • Achieve assigned annual service revenue goals
  • Coordinate with the Project Managers and Project Coordinators to assemble and execute a successful, cost-effective installation
  • In coordination with the company’s training program, ensure the team maintains a deep knowledge and thorough experiential understanding with the equipment and the customer’s application.
  • Coordinate with the Customer Service Representatives and Inside Sales team to develop spare parts lists and upgrade kits
  • Oversee technical problem resolution. Collaborate with other functional departments to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Travel to customers as required

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related technical field.
  • 5 yrs experience managing a technical capital equipment service team; Food Machinery experience preferred
  • 5 yrs experience managing a technical staff.
  • Strong technical background with understanding of Hydraulics, Electrical and Electronics, Pneumatics, Technical drawings/schematics and Mechanical design.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and maintain composure.
