The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in our organization, tasked with implementing and maintaining robust accounting processes, systems, and reporting applications for designated locations. In this capacity, you will exercise oversight and have a significant impact on accounting transactions within locations and departments. Your responsibilities will encompass the preparation of daily transactions, monthly closing entries and consolidations.

What You'll Do:

  • Complete daily and monthly journal entries for Corporate entities (including international sales entities) and respective account reconciliations.
  • Upload and validate total company actuals data to consolidation system and prepare monthly closing reports with variance analyses. Recommend and implement changes to ensure accuracy and to improve financial performance.
  • Maintain Corporate and various international fixed assets and consolidate fixed assets information from all locations. 
  • Manage the annual ASC842 Lease Accounting process which includes review of leases with local. controllers, updating the software for any additions or disposals of leases, and booking the final.
  • Assist in forecast, budget with SGA and Capex deliverables, and other ad hoc projects.
  • Prepare department expense reports for Corporate and Support functions and provide variance analysis.
  • Maintain monthly file with month to date and year to date comments.
  • Lead the intercompany reconciliation process across the organization including maintaining the monthly template, compiling results from locations, variance analysis and proposals for corrections.
  • Compile plant/BU data into consolidated schedules on a monthly basis but also ad hoc for budget and forecasts

What You'll Need:             

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of Accounting experience is required
  • Public accounting and/or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • Expense, accrual accounting, general ledger, foreign currency and consolidations
  • Financial statement analysis skills including diving into the general ledger to understand variances and proposing corrections if needed
  • Proficient with ERP systems; PeopleSoft experience a plus
  • Experience with Financial reporting system such as Hyperion or Planful is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (Pivot tables, sumifs, etc.)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Effective problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
  • High motivation and professional demeanor
  • Ability to make suggestions and recommendations and interact at all organizational levels
