Internship: Recruiting and People Operations

About Us is Italy's largest local service marketplace, now expanding internationally. We help millions of customers to find a local service professional: we cover 400+ services, ranging from wedding photographers to plumbers to guitar teachers. Within a few years, we expect that booking a plumber or a painter online will be as effortless as buying a book. Today that's not the case, and we're out to change it. The opportunity is huge.

We are a fast-growing startup: 2 people in March 2015, now we are over 100. We strive to minimize bull*** and maximize impact: average age is 29, because often brain is more important than experience; we work in open space, because communication needs to happen quickly; everyone has very large responsibilities, because we don't have time to do any handholding (and we think it's counterproductive).

We are looking for people who want to help us build a service that everyone will use multiple times a year; a service that will make a difference in society. It's not an easy job.

Your Role

ProntoPro has an exceptionally ambitious goal. To achieve this, People Operations must help ensure that ProntoPro is an exceptional group of people who work together efficiently. Your personal goal inside People Operations will be supporting us on finding these exceptional people and getting them to join us. It will be a 6-month internship with a possibility of a full-time hiring. 



You will learn 

  • How to source, select and recruit the right talent across different channels for our Headquarters, with a particular focus on the Marketing team located in Milan but operating across different European markets;
  • How to build network with the best European universities and Italian entities in charge of internship projects and recruiting of young talents;
  • How to accomplish administration procedures of hiring both, interns and full-time employees;
  • How to deal with payroll related issues, including operational support to People team;  
  • How to deal with candidates and external guests of the company, making sure they have great experience from the very first contact; 
  • How to deal with office management, find solutions to employees' problems and manage health&safety obligations;
  • Don't forget we are a startup: go back to the first sentence: People Operations must ensure that ProntoPro is an exceptional group of people who work together efficiently. There are dozens of other things that you may end up doing to help us achieve our goal!




  • Have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Economics, Psychology, Philosophy, Management or similar;
  • Proficiency in English and intermediate Italian - we use both languages in the People team on a daily basis;
  • High energy! You're the first point of contact an external candidate has with ProntoPro. You represent what we stand for - and that is not slow, regular growth rather explosively changing the world;
  • Learning mindset: you can't stop learning from people, books, online resources, articles, conversations with others;
  • Good communication skills: otherwise you won't be able to attract candidates and manage the tasks internally;
  • Precision and good organization skills: we have a lot of things to do and that's why we need to be very well-organized and learn constantly how to prioritize. 
  • Previous internship experience will be considered as a plus
