Vice President, Account Management, Strategic Market

As the Vice President of Account Management, you will work with our employer clients and their consultants and brokers to maintain exemplary service for the life of their account. You are accountable for partnering with the largest and most strategic employer segment, creating client value, loyalty, satisfaction, and retention. 


What you’ll do… 

  • Create and clearly articulate the value story, trend drivers and tracking of solutions performance to the client utilizing data to uncover actionable insights
  • Seamlessly articulate Progyny’s value to professionals, executives, strategic partners at both employers and channel partners
  • Understand and articulate a data-driven financial model to support renewals, refine our quarterly and annual reports to best meet client needs
  • Create and execute on the strategic retention and growth plan for each assigned client
  • Effectively plan, negotiate, and influence the interactions and relationships with employers, their brokers / consultants and internal team members to achieve strategic account goals
  • Successfully manage upsells of new product lines and renewals of current clients
  • Suggest solutions and innovations to solve employer problems within the benefits space, co-creating value together
  • Define and deliver on key KPIs, including sales performance, relationship, and retention metrics for employer clients​
  • Establish, cultivate, and manage the employer-client relationship at multiple levels, serving as a healthcare consultant and trusted business advisor 
  • Build relationships with key employer-client stakeholders, consultants, and brokers, recognizing the value each brings to employers
  • Meet with clients as often as necessary to meet account goals
  • Resolve member abrasions that are escalated within Progyny and work with other team members to identify the root cause of the escalation and the best path to resolve it


About you… 

  • 13+ years of strategic and consultative selling experience within healthcare, employer benefits or insurance industries
  • Proven track record of working with senior-level executivesat the largest employers in the United States for client relationship management and consultation within health care benefits segment 
  • Excellent negotiation, collaboration, and listening skills
  • Excellent messaging, positioning and presentation of information for client impact 
  • Unparalleled project management skills - identify a goal and the steps needed; actively manage action steps to accomplish goal
  • Strong business and financial acumen; strong problem-solving, judgment and analytic skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize responsibilities
  • Prior experience managing direct reports  
  • Prior success in a fast-growing organization
  • Must be based in California, Texas, New York, or Boston
