We are seeking a Mobile/Web Engineer to join our cross-functional team of Database, DevOps, Salesforce, Software, Test engineers, and Program Management. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of mobile solutions for critical projects, with a focus on our member-facing mobile apps. You will split your time between developing new projects and supporting the day-to-day operations of our existing solutions. 

What you'll do...

• Work closely with our program and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for Android, iOS and Web using Flutter and Flutter Web.
  
• Implement new features and optimize existing ones, as well as researching new Flutter and Mobile tools to help improve our development efficiency.
  
• Build reusable Flutter software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms.
  
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
  
• Collaborate with design and UX to deliver usable, accessible, and visually impactful results. 

About You...

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or  equivalent experience) 
• 5+ years of experience in Software Development 
• 3+ years of experience in Mobile Development roles 
• 2+ years of experience with Flutter 
• Expertise in iOS and Android development 
• Experience delivering features end to end, spanning native mobile apps to backend APIs 
• Strong experience in developing and debugging with mobile and front-end development frameworks 
• Flutter expertise, including experience with state management libraries (such as Bloc, Provider, etc.), routers (such as Go), best practices around widget and component design, commonly used open-source packages (such as http and url_launcher), file and image pickers/inputs, image caching, Flutter web and responsive design, writing Flutter code that works for all devices, writing Flutter widgets with accessibility in mind, and localization 
• Experience with JavaScript and building web applications 
• Experience using Git & GitHub and developing release processes and pipelines 
• Experience writing unit tests and end-to-end testing 
• Experience securing Flutter apps, including jailbreaking and certificate pinning 
• Comfortability with Flutter-related DevOps such as setting up CI/CD pipelines 
• Experience with the App Store and Google Play release process 
• Expert level debugging ability of complex iOS, Android, and web issues 
• Experience working with REST APIs and backend service layers 
• Experience with code reviews, mentoring, and code refactoring 
• Technical design review and improvement skills 
• Familiarity with Figma and the ability to work from Figma specs 
• Ability to work with test engineers, stakeholders, and end users to gather and provide feedback, and use best judgment to determine level of urgency 
• Leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and guide team direction

• Experience working in an agile Scrum environment 
• Experience working at a healthcare company (familiarity with HIPAA, PHI, etc.)

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary range for NYC-based applicants is: $115,000 - $125,000. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
