Public Relations and Social Media Manager

Description

We are looking for a Public Relations and Social Media Manager to join the Marketing team. You will own media relations, social media, and content to support the company’s strategic development and growth. This role will have wide exposure to all departments and levels across the company. 


What you'll be doing...

  • Execute and manage the day-to-day PR efforts and activities which includes drafting pitches, press releases, briefing documents, talking points, media monitoring, daily scan, media outreach, and submission for speaking opportunities.  
  • Develop and identify topics for executives to show them as thought leaders in the space and keep the company at the forefront of its industry  
  • Develop, manage, and optimize the company’s social channels to include social ad campaigns that will increase the presence and engagement to support sales and creating a social calendar  
  • Create content across owned, earned, and paid social channels 
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance and lead social media listening and audience management  
  • Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights, while continually finding ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives 
  • Supports content creation or additional initiatives for various campaigns 

About you...

  • 4-5 years of experience in public relations and demonstrated ability to translate those skills to social media. Ideally has worked for a public company, in-house or an agency 
  • Experience in b2b and b2b2c companies and healthcare 
  • Has a proven track record of booking high profile conferences and speaking opportunities – healthcare and benefits is a plus 
  • Strong track record of media relations results including some established media relationships and an eagerness to build new relationships with key journalists and media outlets 
  • Experience in working with C-Suite and senior level executives, this includes managing their social presence 
  • Experience in creating social content, to include social calendars, and social campaigns that has increased the company’s traffic and overall visibility 
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to speak knowledgeably with high-level executives internally and externally 
  • Experience in managing social media accounts and adeptness in social media platforms and tools.  
  • Experience with CMS such as WordPress 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills  
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
