Description

We are looking for a Manager of Member Finance Operations to join our Claims Revenue Management team within the Finance function. You will be responsible for overseeing the team that manages all patient (“member”) billing and collections activities. The Manager of Member Finance Operations will oversee a team of 3 billing specialists and report into our Director of Claims Revenue Management. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and will be skilled at building relationships across functions and levels throughout the organization and marshaling those resources to get things done. 


What you’ll be doing...

  • You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Member Finance Operations including the management and development of the team
  • Develop and implement strategies and workflows to ensure claims are billed and invoices paid/settled in a timely manner
  • Oversee and maintain the patient billing system, including monitoring billing and payment activity and data integrations between systems and various data upload processes
  • Perform reconciliations between systems including the patient billings system, claims system, and bank
  • Communicate effectively with members to answer questions, ensure timely payments and resolve issues that may arise
  • Partner with cross functional leaders and teams to resolve outstanding questions and member cases surrounding invoices
  • Support processing and payment of member reimbursements for covered out-of-pocket expenses
  • Provide visibility, governance and timely reporting of billing and KPIs for Sr. Management around all member billing and collections activities
  • Lead process improvement projects to improve and resolve service delivery issues

 

About you....

  • 5+ years of experience in health care billing/collections/accounting
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Experience managing a team
  • Strong experience in excel and comfortable working with large data sets to analyze and reconcile data
  • Ability to tap into a wealth of knowledge and experience to solve problems and act as an internal consultant
  • Ability to effectively synthesize problems and recommend actionable solutions in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication ability, able to partner with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary range for NYC-based applicants is: $90,000 - $110,000. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
