Senior Business Analyst

The Business Intelligence (BI) team is hiring a Senior Business Analyst in New York (NYC).  

Our team is at the forefront of incubation of key initiatives and strategic development of the nation’s leading fertility benefits management company.   

In this role, you’ll drive strategy related to network management and pricing through data analytics, financial modeling, cross-functional collaboration, and presentation of recommendations to executive leadership.   

What you’ll do:  

  • Analyze Progyny and national fertility data to better understand the provider and financial landscape in the US and beyond 
  • Build and maintain dashboards to support future clinical negotiations and measure the impact of finalized negotiations on Progyny’s revenue and margin 
  • Implement and monitor changes to pricing at regular intervals 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance our network strategy, improve existing tooling, and expand Progyny’s data universe 
  • Work cross-functionally with Provider Account ManagementProvider Relations, and Finance teams on projects related to network and financial management 
  • Create organized infrastructure and procedures for key reoccurring projects that facilitate inter-team collaboration and rapid deployment of projects 
  • Support in the presentation of insights to key stakeholders (including VPs and C-suite) by building clear, concise, and data-driven narratives 

About you:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field 
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Finance or Operations departments of rapidly growing organizations 
  • Analytically focused with experience analyzing large data sets (100M+ rows of data) 
  • Proficiency in Excel (functions including vlookup, index, match; Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAXrequired  
  • Basic proficiency with a coding language (SQL, Python, R etc.) required 
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.) preferred 
  • Able to multi-task, remain organized and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment 
  • Desire to self-start and see ambiguity as an opportunity to shape strategy
