UX Designer II

This will be working with our ShareFile product and be a hybrid working between your home office and our Raleigh NC office. You must be local to that location to be considered for this role.
The UX Designer II plays a key role in creating intuitive, user-centered experiences by producing, modifying, and maintaining wireframes, prototypes, and interface designs. This role operates with moderate supervision, steadily building autonomy while collaborating closely with peers and senior designers.
In this role, you will:
- Take responsibility for production, modification and maintenance of wireframes, interface prototypes and designs.
- Demonstrates ideas and interactions following clearly defined requirements and contributes to the process of defining the requirements.
- Works with business requirements, use cases and user stories and prepares user personas, use cases, interaction flow diagrams.
- Assists in the building of information architecture for specific features or product areas.
- Follows the established practices, UI patterns and guidelines within the product, keeping Design Thinking and User Centered Design concepts at the forefront.
- Collaborates with UX leads, researchers and PMs to validate designs through user feedback, usability testing, and A/B experimentation.
Operational Expectation
- Performs independent design work with moderate supervision from senior team members; gradually gaining autonomy. Collaborates closely with peers and mentors.
Domain Expertise
- Product-Led Growth (PLG): Designing frictionless upgrade and adoption flows that drive customer engagement and conversion leveraging data-driven experimentation and analytics to validate design impact.
- Onboarding: Crafting intuitive first-time user experiences and education touchpoints to accelerate product value realization.
- Billing: Designing clear, trustworthy billing and checkout experiences that align with global compliance and accessibility standards.
- Design System: Contributing to component libraries, interaction patterns, and documentation that ensure design consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the product.
Leadership
- Provide guidance and support to new team members as needed.
Your background:
- Requires expanded conceptual knowledge of UX principles while developing additional skill sets.
- Strong understanding of how design, prototyping and user research meet complex and varied requirements within tight development windows.
- Understands business needs and the product domain.
- This role requires demonstrated professional experience in Product Design, UX, UI, or similar and may require a bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
- Working knowledge and understanding of software technologies, tools and trends
- Demonstrated experience with diverse stakeholders, designers and developers
- Strong understanding of current product-related user interface technologies and trends
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Delivers well-defined tasks with measurable impact on project quality or delivery timelines
Base Salary Range: $97,750 - $120,750
This position is also eligible to participate in our performance-based annual corporate bonus plan. Final base compensation is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, education, demonstrable experience, and allowance for future and continued salary growth.
