IT Systems Engineer I

In this role, you will:
- Administer and manage Windows operating systems and applications.
- Maintain and support Windows Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP services.
- Perform system updates using patch automation tools.
- Monitor server performance using server monitoring tools.
- Ensure data integrity and availability through effective backup tools and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
- Document processes, procedures, and configurations related to system administration tasks.
- Handle service requests and support tickets promptly and efficiently.
- Adhere to production processes and change management policies to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
Your background:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT systems engineering or a related role.
- Experience in administration of Windows Operating Systems and Applications.
- Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- Understanding of TCP/IP protocol and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with server monitoring tools.
- Experience with backup tools.
- Excellent analytical skills to resolve critical issues.
- Ability to handle service requests and support tickets efficiently.
- Commitment to following production processes and change management policies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have:
- Experience working with VMware vSphere.
- Datacenter experience and managing server hardware.
- Automation using PowerShell
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA+, MCSA).
