The Discovery Bay Learning Academy is a state-licensed childcare and early childhood education facility within PRO Club. We are looking for an Assistant Teacher to partner with the Lead Teacher to provide high quality youth programs to our members.
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:15pm.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Supervise and ensure safety of children in classroom settings
- Engage in warm, caring interactions and fun, imaginative play with children
- Implement positive guidance techniques and maintain classroom control
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe classroom environment
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- At least 18 years of age, with a high school diploma.
- Experience working with young children
- Knowledge of ECE teaching methods/strategies, classroom management techniques, curriculum standards and lesson planning
- Preferred qualification: ECE initial certificate or childcare basic 30 hours STARS training
- Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid Certification, AED and MERIT
- TB test results (results can be from up to 12 months prior to hire date)
- Washington State Department of Early Learning Background Clearance for Child Care Licensing
