Description

ProbablyMonsters is looking for a creative, technical and collaborative Senior Advanced Community Manager who is passionate about bringing exceptional entertainment to players around the globe. You will join a team focusing on action gameplay, world building, level design, AI, and character design during the early phases of game development.
     
We are seeking a Senior Advanced Community Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our community strategy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a vibrant, engaged, and supportive community around our game. This role requires a deep understanding of gaming culture, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, strategic approach to community engagement. You need to be a highly skilled Community Developer to lead our dynamic team in the video game industry.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Develop our community engagement strategy and guidelines.
  • Foster positive and engaging interactions within the community across various platforms, including forums, social media, Discord, and in-game chats.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the development team and the player community; regularly communicating with players to gather feedback and provide updates.
  • Organize and manage high-impact community events, tournaments, and contests to keep the community active and excited.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key community members, influencers, and content creators.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content, including blog posts, videos, and social media posts, to keep the community informed and excited about the game.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and development teams to create and distribute promotional materials and announcements.
  • Monitor trends and conversations within the community and incorporate them into content-creation strategies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base and FAQs to address common player questions and concerns.
  • Compile and analyze community feedback and data to provide actionable insights to the development team.
  • Regularly report on community sentiment, key concerns, and emerging trends to inform decision-making processes.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Proven experience as a Senior Community Manager or in a similar role in the video game industry, with at least 3 years in a senior or advanced position.
    • Deep understanding and experience with gaming communities built around live game franchises. Extensive experience with community management tools (e.g., Discord, Reddit, etc.).
    • Experience utilizing analytics to interpret data to make informed decisions.
    • Comprehensive understanding of game development processes and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid attention to detail, and ability to explain complex topics in simple and concise ways.
    • Extensive experience managing social media platforms, forums, and community channels.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage conflict within the community.
    • Passion for video games and a genuine interest in engaging with the player community.
    • Experience in community crisis management, including anticipating potential issues and developing and driving a solution-based plan.

    Eligibility to participate in these benefits may vary for part-time and temporary full-time employees and interns with the Company.    
         
    Compensation:    
    • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position. 
    • The full salary range for this position is $126,000 - $191,000  per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.  
    • In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
