We’re looking for:  Data Governance, Risk and Compliance consultants are some of the most talented, well-seasoned data security experts in the industry. These roles act as trusted advisors to our customers and provide leadership and best practice guidance with respect to implementing the Privacera platform within a customer’s data governance, risk and compliance strategy. This team delivers services that transform the way our customers manage their data governance programs and set them up for long term success. 

A successful architect helps a business answer

  • What data is available (Data Catalog)?Is the data relevant and meaningful (Data classification)?
  • Where did the data come from (Data Lineage)?
  • How can I get access to the data (Processes)?
  • Are there regulatory impacts to using this data?
  • Am I in compliance by using this data?
  • How do I set up a compliance/encryption workflow?
  • What is the most optimal way of creating access policies?

Communication to multiple departments, technical and non-technical partners and managers at all levels will be a part of the job on a daily basis. Effectiveness of this communication, the ability to build trusted relationships with individuals, strong presentation and facilitation skills will drive the success.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Acting as an advisor to Privacera’s Strategic and Enterprise customers to understand their vision and challenges.
  • Working with enterprise architecture and governance teams, business line IT architects, and data governance, risk and compliance advisors to drive effective utilization and adoption of Privacera platform capabilities.
  • Becoming an expert on Privacera’s Platform capabilities, customer needs, and competitive landscape in order to develop use cases, packaging and growth objectives that will effectively accelerate adoption and increase usage of Privacera’s products within the customer.
  • Driving Privacera Platform usage growth and stickiness with specific focus on security and data governance aspects, with the aid of existing or newly defined analytics on usage patterns, customer input and competitive analysis.
  • Working with product and engineering to design A/B experiments with data-driven hypotheses to identify new audience and other growth opportunities.
  • Working with product management and using qualitative and quantitative customer research to help with the positioning of new product capabilities.
  • Analyzing and monitoring the usage of Privacera’s security product portfolio’s capabilities, building custom reports that make key performance indicators available to the product team and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting the execution of product launches to ensure they are carried out effectively and on time.
  • Staying up-to-date on the competitive landscape and ensure the team can communicate key differentiators of our products and identify opportunities for future growth.
  • Partnering with and supporting sales and customer success teams by equipping them to discuss product capabilities, differentiations and solutions with customers, as well as develop and deliver technical sales plays.
  • Communicating regularly with customer’s Legal and Compliance to implement and adapt to new policies.
  • Staying abreast of external laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, CPRA).
  • Executing data activation activities and processes to bring data under governance, monitoring risk and compliance.
  • Assisting in the development of solutions for customer’s business requirements, data security strategy, capability roadmaps, and best practices
  • Identifying sales and expansion opportunities for Privacera products and services at existing customers.
  • Guiding projects using the Privacera prescriptive path and best-practices to ensure customer success and a high return on Privacera software investments.  

Your experience should include:  

  • Must have at least 15 years of overall experience in the data governance, risk and compliance space. 
  • The candidate must also have five to eight years of experience in a customer facing role 
  • Expert-level knowledge and implementation experience in at least two areas including Data Governance, Risk and Compliance.
  • Knowledge of data governance, risk and compliance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
  • Knowledge of data related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues. Good understanding of privacy and data protection regulations such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP or EU GDPR is a plus.
  • Prior experience implementing Data Governance/ Risk / Compliance programs, preferably at the Enterprise level. 
  • Basic experience / knowledge of Data Governance / Data Management tools (Apache Atlas, Apache Ranger, Collibra, etc.,)
  • Exposure to Apache Ranger business processes, including deep knowledge of and experience in implementing projects for customers 
  • High level of motivation, flexibility, drive and personal commitment.
  • Desire to drive excellence and quality in all aspects of the areas of responsibility and identify and embrace leading practice.
  • Ability to break down complex issues into manageable goals and able to demonstrate systematic thought processes
  • Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make decisions with less than perfect information
  • Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and coordinate closely with cross-functional teams to complete tasks in resourceful and effective ways
  • Must be able to actively participate in meetings with executives and contribute unique perspectives and value.
  • Experience with tools that accelerate product adoption, customer loyalty and product stickiness such as Pendo, Mixpanel, Google Analytics is a plus
  • Exposure to cloud(AWS/Azure/GCP) and cloud related technologies is a huge plus
