Director of Product Management

Computers/Software Fremont, California

Do you thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment? Do you want to collaborate with a talented set of colleagues who are passionate about delivering value to enterprise customers?  Join a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to helping Fortune 500 clients discover, organize, catalog, protect, and govern their cloud and on-premise data assets using Privacera platform.

Data is migrating to the cloud at unprecedented rates to allow enterprises to become more data-driven.  At the same time the ways we store, compute and analyze data has multiplied into a complex data mesh.  The combination of the quantity, speed of migration and complexity creates a need for controls to meet governance and compliance requirements.

Privacera's mission is to empower our customers to implement a unified layer of security & governance controls for that data mesh and securely manage access across multiple data sources and multiple clouds - something we help our largest customers do at petabyte+ scale.

Privacera does this by providing four essential capabilities.

  1. Perform Discovery & Classification of Sensitive Information
  2. Mask or Encrypt Sensitive Information
  3. Apply fine-grained access control to rows, columns, tables and views across multiple data sources on-premise or in multiple clouds for both structured and unstructured data
  4. Implement and demonstrate compliance with control objectives set by corporate compliance, security and risk management teams while allowing data-owners and data-stewards to express controls and share data without making IT a bottleneck.

We offer our product as a SaaS service and on-premise today.  Our team has developed pioneering products in security, encryption, modern data stack and designed foundational web security standards used by over a billion users everyday.  We're proud to be the authors of the Apache Ranger project and call some of the world’s largest corporations our customers.  We believe that cloud-migration of data requires an overlay control-plane to govern it effectively,  meet privacy mandates and to implement zero-trust security.
