We’re looking for: A great engineer to help us build and design a secure, scalable, and fast software release system.  Our SaaS platform makes heavy use of modern technologies such as Kubernetes and containerization to provide multi-cloud deployments for our quickly growing customer base.  We are looking for motivated engineers to own and improve our build and release systems into a self-service platform for our many micro-services.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Designing and building release automation tools to support multi-cloud SaaS deployments
  • Designing and building dashboards to inform various stakeholders on the progress and quality of each release.
  •  Designing, building, and scaling our release automation
  • Identifying and improving both the security and the performance of our build systems. 
  • Streamlining our docker/Kubernetes base images and tooling 
  • Working closely across many development teams, educating and advocating our development teams on how to use our build systems effectively
  • Bringing a strong sense of ownership and desire to build great tools for other engineers.  

Your experience should include:  

  • At least 5+ years of experience in software development (SaaS experience preferred)
  • Strong coding skills in Python/Groovy/Java
  • Expertise with Linux environments and experience in shell scripting
  • Experience optimizing build infrastructure and pipelines for speed and parallelism.
  • Experience with Cloud-based infrastructure services, AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience and knowledge of Maven, Ant, Git, JIRA, and Jenkins
  • Solid understanding of software release models and a passion to drive understanding and efficiencies in the process.
  • A solid understanding of security concerns in software supply and build chains, and mitigation and management of these concerns.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. 
  • Self-driven and motivated with a strong work ethic and passion for problem-solving.
