We’re looking for: Our team has developed pioneering products in security, encryption, modern data stack and designed foundational web security standards used by over a billion users everyday. We're proud to be the authors of the Apache Ranger project. We believe that cloud-migration of data requires an overlay control-plane to govern it effectively, meet privacy mandates and to implement zero-trust security.As a part of expanding our Products Team in the US & in India, we are trying to staff Technical Product Managers in India to work alongside our India team.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Having a strong understanding of the cloud, the modern computing stack and its foundations.
  • An orientation to policy based systems, especially in security & access control or in big data is a huge plus.
  • An orientation to privacy, governance and policy creation/implementation in enterprises is also helpful.
  • The role is 25% outbound, 75% inbound working with engineering and other internal teams.
  • The team will have a PM Lead in the US who will be mirrored by their TPM counterpart in India.
  • The PM role is open to senior technical contributors who may be seeking to transition into a business-technical role. 
  •  The PM will be working closely with the engineering & QA team on the sprints, grooming backlog and running acceptance inbound. On the outbound side, they will build core material and demos that can be used to showcase new features and feed the product marketing teams.
  • Providing technical help for the outbound PMs in the US.

Your experience should include:  

  • Decent  social skills and some writing/communication skills
  • A background in Big Data Systems or in IAM (Identity/Access Management/Authorization) or complex Policy-Centric systems that do RBAC/ABAC/governance is desirable.
  • An exposure to protocols like SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth or older protocols like XACML. (Alternatively, CA, Entrust, RSA, MS Active Directory, Novell would do)
  • Looking for people who stay, build, ship, and learn from their mistakes, strong foundations, intellectually curious about technology and business.
