We’re looking for: A great engineer to help us build and design a secure, scalable, and fast software release system.  Our SaaS platform makes heavy use of modern technologies such as Kubernetes and containerization to provide multi-cloud deployments for our quickly growing customer base.  We are looking for motivated engineers to own and improve our build and release systems into a self-service platform for our many micro-services.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Designing and building release automation tools to support multi-cloud SaaS deployments
  • Designing and building dashboards to inform various stakeholders on the progress and quality of each release.
  •  Designing, building, and scaling our release automation
  • Identifying and improving both the security and the performance of our build systems. 
  • Streamlining our docker/Kubernetes base images and tooling 
  • Working closely across many development teams, educating and advocating our development teams on how to use our build systems effectively
  • Bringing a strong sense of ownership and desire to build great tools for other engineers.  

Your experience should include:  

  • At least 5+ years industry experience in Release Engineering or Devops
  • At least 4+ years working in a mixed cloud environment including AWS, Azure and GCP.
  • Strong experience  scripting skills in Python and Shell.
  • Strong experience in Kubernetes & Dockers 
  • Creation and maintenance of Dockerfiles and Helm charts
  • Extentensive Experience with Jenkins plugins, and pipeline as code (Groovy).
  • Experienced in Gitlab
  • Use ticket management system such as Jira and Confluence to manage work priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with Dev, QA, and SRE teams.
  • Experience with Build Tools like Maven 
  • Experience in Nexus Artifactory - for managing artifacts for java applications.
  • Maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible
  • Development of automated testing (Ex: SonarQube, Selenium, etc.)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues. 
  • Self-driven and motivated with a strong work ethic and passion for problem-solving.
