We’re looking for: a Field Services Engineer, to operate internally to manage and update internal demo environments in AWS, Azure and GCP.  We are seeking a professional with a Cloud Infrastructure background and familiarity with one or more of the following would be an asset: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform. With knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash and Shell Script.

Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Ensuring availability of current, working, documented demo environments for a complex, cloud- based privacy and security software.
  • Partnering with Sales, Customer Success, Product and Engineering to create and maintain demonstrations of our current solutions.
  • Being intrinsically curious and passionate about researching current and emerging technologies and developing innovative solutions.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Supporting pre-sales and Professional Services teams, including product demonstrations and sales enablement.
  • Being hands-on and excited to bring ideas and best practices forward to better the performance of the team and the pre-sales process.
  • As required, work with the team to develop customer-facing collateral (e.g., presentations, demos, talk tracks).

Your experience should include:  

  • 2+ years as a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant, Professional Services Consultant, or hands-on administrator of a technical training environment.
  • 2+ years direct experience applying technology to specific business challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science OR equivalent experience, advanced degree or training a plus.
  • Experience and understanding of multiple technical domains - cloud infrastructure, analytics.
  • Security, governance and integration.
  • Ability to communicate with a technical sales audience.
  • Excellent prioritization, organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience in early stage firms, such as venture backed startup companies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following would be an asset:
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
    • Databricks, Snowflake, Starburst Presto, EMR, Spark, Hive, Postgres, Redshift, MySQL
    • Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
    • Apache Ranger
    • Java, Python
    • Scripting languages such as Bash, Shell Scripting
    • Data Streaming software Kinesis and Apache Kafka
    • Software development tools such as Git, JIRA, and Confluence
    • Hadoop and Apache Spark ecosystem
