We currently have an opening for a Client Success Manager.  The Client Success Manager is responsible for supervising the daily tactical operations and execution of all payroll processes performed by a team of Supervisors and Client Success Representatives (Payroll Specialists) as well as providing daily supervision and ongoing development of the payroll team. The position, through management of direct reports, ensures all payroll activities are carried out in accordance with GAAP, APA, SOX and company guidelines, ensuring efficient and effective practices are being utilized throughout the processing center. This position functions as a control checkpoint for compliance and quality results, an escalation point for problem resolution, a communication point for cross departmental relationship building, and a development/mentoring point for direct reports.

No two days will be the same. But here is what you can expect:

  • Managing daily operations including planning, directing, and supervising complex payroll operations activities carried out by a staff of Client Success Representatives
  • Overseeing daily activities of Client Success Representatives
  • Resolving client issues and handling escalated situations
  • Maintaining appropriate staffing levels through ongoing recruiting and interviewing
  • Training all new specialists      
  • Educating staff with regard to new payroll issues
  • Conducting annual salary reviews of staff
  • Overseeing workflow of Production Room
  • Ensuring accuracy of New Client paperwork
  • Providing necessary reports to management and recommending operational changes in response to changing conditions
  • Ensuring that an environment of cooperation, communication, and support exists between the payroll operations staff and the sales organization
  • Continuously reviewing Payroll procedures documentation to ensure it reflects current practices; ensures timely updates
  • Through direct reports, ensuring timely and accurate filing of all associated payroll taxes and compliance with Federal, State and Local tax laws
  • Building a working partnership between the Payroll and Tax departments to provide appropriate reporting and transaction information and assist in the resolution of queries

The right candidate for the Client Success Manager position will have these qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in the payroll field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll services, specifically working in the payroll outsourcing industry
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred (CPP)
  • Able to lead teams and develop individuals
  • Proven customer service and communication skills
  • Well-established time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Clear oral and written communication skills, including proper grammar usage
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Proactive and innovative problem solver
  • Positive attitude to all internal and external clients
