Primary Care Solutions provides industry-leading Primary Care services to Veterans. Veteran-led and clinician-managed, we deliver compassionate, expert medical care, establishing personal bonds with our Veterans in our Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). POSITION SUMMARY:
 
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician to for our Community-Based Outpatient Clinic. As a Primary Care Physician, you will provide a full range of primary health care services to include, but not limited to, diagnosing, and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses to ensure our nation’s veterans receive exceptional medical care with the highest standards of compassion, respect and clinical excellence. This is an in-office, in-person position, not remote. (Coverage areas: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and USVI)

RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • This is a PRN, in-office position at various locations based on the needs of the clinics.
  • Chronic disease management as well as episodic care as needed by veteran
  • Comprehensive physical examinations
  • Orders diagnostic tests
  • Prescribes medication
  • Orders treatment and consults based on diagnosis or symptoms as needed
  • Works with extended team members to provide patient-centric care (such as Pharm D, Mental Health providers, Dieticians, RN, LVN, MA etc.)
  • Timely and complete documentation of notes in VA EMR (CPRS) utilizing dragon and/or keyboard
  • Adheres to all VA guidelines regarding appropriate and timely response to patient requests, system alerts/notifications, consults, orders, lab results, etc.  
 
QUALIFICATIONS:   
  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine Degree (MD/DO) 
  • Board-certified or Board Eligible in family practice or internal medicine 
  • 2 years of clinical medical practice in primary care preferred
  • Experience with the Veteran's Administrative Healthcare system (Vista/CPRS) is required.
  • Active, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment 
  • Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration 
  • Current certification in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (to be renewed annually) 
  • Excellent computer skills
