Project Manager
We seek a Project Manager with a solid construction background (cable/telephone company) and outside plant experience to manage projects in the area. You will be responsible for field oversight of construction progress, quality control, and reporting. You must be proactive and have solid, positive communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee, track, report, and direct all aspects of an FTTx construction project
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance customer experience.
- Keeps clients and others informed about project status and issues impacting client relations.
- Organize and lead project meetings and calls as necessary
- Implement new processes and procedures set forth by the construction department.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in cable/telecommunications construction and project management
- Must have FTTx experience
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude
- The candidate must be well-organized, proactive, resourceful, flexible, able to communicate with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform professionally.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office programs.
- Candidate must have own vehicle in acceptable condition (to be determined by hiring manager) & a valid driver’s license - mileage reimbursement will be paid at the standard Federal rate.
- Overtime may be required at times based on the volume of work.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or three years of related work experience preferred
- Must have previous supervisory/management experience
Work Environment
- This hybrid requires work in the field and in the office. Field work includes walking sites, climbing stairs, and engaging directly with teams and clients. Occasional use of vehicle may be required to attend site visits or client meetings.
