About the role: Director of Pharmacy Services is a licensed professional who is responsible for executing benefit design strategies to enhance the value of employer sponsored worksite pharmacies. They lead the expansion of pharmacy, pharmacy clinical initiatives, and wellness services while collaborating with the other worksite sponsored offerings such as primary care, patient-centered medical homes, occupational health, physical therapy, and fitness. The Director of Pharmacy Services is responsible for the client’s value proposition while creating business synergies for Premise’s core enterprise. 
 

Essential Functions:   

  • Consults on pharmacy benefit design requests, pharmacy health and wellness programs, and all other related worksite synergies. 
  • Supports operational excellence by providing pharmacy managers with performance expectations, goal metrics and communicates improvement opportunities. 
  • Partners with Directors of Client Operations with holding team members accountable to the employer solutions group’s long-range targets, initiatives, and strategies. 
  • Maintains a Pharmacy Benefit Administration relationship between Premise and the clients PBM. 
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for the Director of Client Operations for client reporting, budget creation, operational revenue, and project management status. 
  • Assists RFP, Sales and Pricing Teams on new business and client retention opportunities as needed.
  • Collaborates with legal team for contract negotiations and client renewals in addition to necessary contract changes pertaining to the employer worksite industry.
  • Provides orientation, training, and ongoing support for new pharmacy managers. 
  • Participates with local Walgreens District Manager and Director of Client Operations in the interviewing and hiring process of pharmacy managers. 
  • Directs business intelligence, client billing, and client reporting for new clients for revenue collection and metric reporting. 
  • Reviews and audits finance and accounting shared services’ pharmacy reporting. 
  • Serves as leadership in the pharmacy and therapeutics committee and other programs and committees as needed.
  • Directs client pharmacy audits for all sites in assigned region. 
  • Leads communications associated with best practices across all worksite pharmacies. 

Job Requirements:  

  • Pharmacy Degree
  • 10+ years’ experience in retail pharmacy with a focus/interest in the employer health segment. 
  • At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets. 
  • At least 5 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training, and assignment of work/projects to other team members.
 

Preferred Experience:  

  • 10+ years’ experience in retail pharmacy with a focus/interest in the employer health segment. 
  • At least 2 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and capital budgets. 
  • At least 5 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training, and assignment of work/projects to other team members.

For individuals living in California, Colorado, Washington; as well as, for individuals living in or reporting to New York State only, Premise Health is required to include  an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington and New York State compensation is $153,000 - $170,000 with eligible bonus opportunity.
