JOB SCOPE:
Directly accountable for the operations of the branch,  you will be responsible for conducting trailer inspections, maintenance management, assisting with customer applications, forwarding customer rebills and direct customer communication, including trailer and parts inventory, and providing reports on these assets.
This position requires confidence, independent action, initiative, a sense of urgency, and the ability to make decisions and take responsibility for them. A well-suited candidate will respond and adjust quickly to changing conditions and come up with practical ideas for dealing with them.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Inspection of trailers making sure they are safe as well as DOT and other industry regulation compliant.
  • Coordinate all work needed to be performed on trailers with vendors as well as ensuring the work performed follows Premiers’ policies and procedures.
  • Manages and reconciles all equipment inventory both out-bound and in-bound gate activity daily (Yard checks).
  • Assists in the transportation of equipment between branches as well as to customers and vendors.
  • Vendor Negotiations & Management 
  • Customer Setup, Service and Support
  • Assist with AR collections.
  • Responsible for the cost control of the branch.
  • Daily administrative paperwork and filing along with answering phones, responding to emails and assisting customers.
  • Occasional after hours and/or weekend hours required.
  • Support other departments/branches as needed.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Firm understanding of all trailer models and components.
  • Well organized and detailed with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer and vendor expectations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA or four years' experience in trailer leasing industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable and organized.
  • Ability to drive personal automobile.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • When needed physically inspect trailers inside and out (Must get in the trailer as well as underneath the trailer).
  • Walking up and down flights of stairs as needed as well as continually walking the yard.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:   
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
