Software Engineer

Praxis Engineering is seeking candidates to help us create collaborative mission operations software focused on supporting PEO- Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S) capabilities. What you will be doing:

As a Software Engineer, you will have the chance to shape DOD missions by leading software development, prototyping and sustainment efforts, as well as, grow your skills by merging software development and system engineering to create worldwide software solutions.

 

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required, with minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer or system engineer
  • Experience in software development lifecycle phases
  • Exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Software development to include new development, customer support, and system testing, software deployment
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this role; TS/SCI is preferred

 

Required technical skills include:

  • Development Tools: : Service Oriented Architecture, Atlassian tool suite, GIT, Jenkins, Docker, databases (MS Database Designer)(MS SQL, MySQL), Eclipse, Git, GitLAb, Gradle, Maven, GRID
  • Technologies: Java, Javascript, XML, Grafana, Powershell, Python, MS Office, VMware, Linux Scripting , JSON,
  • Operating Systems: Windows 10, Windows server, Linux, CentOS, Unix

 

Desired technical skills:

  • Experience with supporting Army programs as a software developer or system engineer
  • Experience with developing installation documentation
  • Experience with technologies and operating systems, including RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Windows OS, Windows Server and Vmware
  • Certification in Security+
  • Experience creating/maintaining documentation in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditations efforts.
