What you will be doing

Join our elite group of software engineers who like to create, troubleshoot, and problem solve! Successful candidates will have 6 or more years of experience, with increasing levels of responsibility in performing software engineering related activities. Candidates will be developing web-based solutions using a microservices architecture and a modern JavaScript frontend framework, while working within an Agile software development methodology.

What you will need:  

• 6+ years of software/system development work experience in the following areas:
• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems
• Strong Bash scripting experience             
• Preferred experience integrating USB hardware devices with application         software in Linux, i.e., device drivers, SDKs, native libraries
• Determines computer user needs
• Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
• Prepares operating instructions
• Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems
• Ensures software standards are met
• Supports the network contractor on integration issues and maximizing system performance to include diagnostics and resolution.
• Evaluates system performance and recommends improvements to address field issues and plan for long-term viability of system while minimizing cost
• Development with peripherals (Passport Reader. Fingerprint scanner, license plate scanner, etc) is a plus

Clearance:  

Minimum of secret clearance required, although other clearances can be held and managed on the program
