Facility Manager
The Facility Manager holds a critical position within an organization, tasked with ensuring that the physical environment of the workplace is safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities that include overseeing security measures, maintenance activities, and various support services essential for the smooth operation of work facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing building and grounds maintenance.
- Ensuring emergency preparedness procedures and their proper implementation.
- Supervising the quality of work for other employees to ensure tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Recommending maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
- Communicating workplace safety precautions to employees.
- Managing budgets and advising on increasing energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Managing contracts and relationships with third-party service providers.
- Drafting reports and making written recommendations based on analysis and forecasting.
- Inspecting business areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained.
- Ensuring facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards.
Requirements:
- Proficient in computer applications, preferably Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Analytical ability for solving complex problems with creativity and judgment.
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills; self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- University diploma.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
