What You Will be Doing
  • Manage end-to-end localisation of games, ensuring high-quality translations and cultural adaptation.
  • Develop and implement localisation strategy, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and maintain adherence to standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and train localisation team members on industry best practices.
  • Advocate for high standards in user experience and product quality.
  • Collaborate with designers, product owners, content writers, and engineers to align localisation with business and user needs.
  • Reconcile requirements across users, business, and development.
  • Manage translation management systems, translation memories, glossaries, and other localisation assets.
  • Coordinate automation and vendor relationships to streamline localisation.
  • Maintain documentation (Confluence, SOPs, guidelines) and monitor localisation performance metrics.
  • Prepare reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential localisation risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Perform any other duties reasonably related to the role.
 
 
What We Need From You:
  • Proven experience in localisation management, localisation engineering, or a similar senior role in gaming or tech.
  • Strong knowledge of translation management systems (TMS), translation memories, glossaries, and localisation workflows.
  • Experience designing, optimising, and implementing localisation processes, including automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for technical and process-related issues.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities, with experience coordinating multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring or leading a team and promoting industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with gaming localisation, cultural adaptation, and user experience considerations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Risk management awareness and ability to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
