About the Role:
We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Localisation Specialist to join our team based in Riga. Our localisation team manages a top-rated product portfolio in 35+ languages and counting. In this role, you will adapt our content, products, and services for various international markets, ensuring they resonate with local cultures and languages. To ensure seamless localisation processes, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, design, compliance and quality assurance.
The ideal candidate should be willing to handle manual day-to-day tasks and focus on expanding their localisation skills.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Content Localisation: Coordinate content (translation, reviews, and implementation) to meet local language and cultural preferences.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, fluency, and appropriateness of all localised content, conducting regular reviews and editing for consistency and quality.
- Project Management: Manage multiple localisation projects, set priorities, and collaborate with external vendors or internal teams to meet deadlines.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date on cultural trends, language nuances, and region-specific regulations to ensure localised content is culturally relevant and compliant.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-teams to integrate localisation needs early in the product development cycle.
- Translation Memory Management: Use and maintain translation memory tools and terminology databases to improve project efficiency and consistency.
- Testing & Feedback: Participate in linguistic testing of localised products and provide feedback to teams on any necessary improvements. Report translation-related bugs, keep track of them being fixed and provide feedback.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices and efficiencies in the localisation workflow.
- Documentation: Create and maintain necessary localisation documentation for internal and external use.
What We Need From You:
- Proven experience in localisation, translation, or related fields (preferably in gaming, tech, or digital content industries)
- Fluency in English is required. Additional languages are a plus.
- Strong understanding of cultural differences and how they impact language, design, and content.
- Familiarity with localisation tools and project management software.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Have a set of problem-solving skills and dedication to improving existing processes.
Other Attributes We Welcome:
- Experience in the Casino game industry
- Experience with SEO and digital marketing localisation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of regional compliance laws and cultural sensitivities in international markets.
