Role Overview
The Vendor Management Specialist will oversee relationships with all vendors supporting the Appearance Department, including managing high-volume stock procurement. The role requires someone who reacts quickly, identifies opportunities, and contributes ideas that improve processes and vendor performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, a quick thinker, and skilled in negotiation and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with all vendors to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Experience with the beauty industry Products is a PLUS.
- Source, evaluate, and onboard new vendors in line with departmental needs and procurement standards.
- Oversee vendor performance and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support high-volume stock procurement and coordinate requirements with internal teams.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to optimize value and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, or new vendor solutions.
- React quickly to operational needs and resolve vendor-related issues promptly.
- Monitor market trends and propose ideas for sourcing or vendor enhancements.
- Prepare reports and updates on vendor performance and sourcing activities.
- Handle Inventory management along with the rest of the team
- Supporting with relevant appearance projects as assigned
Requirements
- English level minimum B2
- Experience in vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or related roles (experience with high-volume procurement and larger vendors preferred).
- Ability to react quickly and manage shifting operational priorities.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Quick thinker with a proactive mindset and the ability to spot opportunities and propose solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with procurement or vendor management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
