The Fraud BI Analyst will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Pragmatic Play's integrity and security, by detecting and preventing fraudulent activities. The ideal candidate must possess a robust background in business intelligence and data analytics, showcasing a proven track record in effectively addressing transaction fraud within the realms of online gaming, crypto, or banking industries. This role demands a sharp analytical acumen, outstanding problem-solving skills, and proficiency in the management and analysis of large datasets. The candidate must also demonstrate comfort and proficiency in working with various data analysis tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights and patterns. 
 
What You Will Do: 
Transaction Fraud Detection and Prevention: 
  • Implement advanced analytics and statistical techniques to detect fraudulent patterns;
  • Develop and maintain strategies to identify a wide range of potentially fraudulent activities within the online casino platform.
Big Data Analysis: 
  • Utilize expertise in working with large datasets, using tools such as SQL or Python;
  • Extract meaningful insights related to transaction trends, user behavior, and patterns indicative of fraud.
Collaboration and Communication: 
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the security, risk management, and finance teams;
  • Share intelligence and strengthen fraud prevention strategies;
  • Document evidence, findings, and recommendations.
Continuous Improvement: 
  • Stay updated on industry-specific fraud trends, emerging threats, and new technologies;
  • Propose and implement enhancements to existing fraud detection processes and tools.
What You Will Need:  
  • Proven experience in fraud analytics, or a similar role within the online gaming, crypto, or banking industry;
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and / or Python;
  • Experience with transaction fraud detection and prevention strategies;
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data visualization techniques;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
