The Role:
 
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Sportsbook team as a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager (Sports) but working with multiple stakeholders, you will be a leading figure within the Pragmatic Play business for new and existing clients working directly within the Sportsbook vertical. Tasked with delivering our new Sportsbook sales strategy with the goal of growing our Sportsbook client base, you will aim to attract and secure new Sportsbook clients globally through referrals and an ability to proactively generate new leads. 
 
Your entire focus will be on the Sportsbook vertical to assist the sales process, proactively use your network of contacts to expand Pragmatic Play Sportsbook reach and respond to client and potential client queries. You are proactive in making suggestions to clients during initials calls on how we may improve the overall experience for the players of our potential clients.
 
You’re comfortable with outreach, initial negotiation and have a deep understanding of the Sportsbook product and industry landscape worldwide.

Ideally, you already have an existing professional network within Sportsbook. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Be one of the leading figures for Pragmatic Play for clients within the Sportsbook space.
  • Focusing on B2B sales across multiple global Sportsbook territories.
  • Generation of new Sportsbook opportunities through customer calls, e-mails, face-to-face meetings, and events.
  • Support full-cycle sales beginning with early customer contact through to negotiation, closing deals, and manage upsell opportunities.
  • Forecasting and achieving quarterly business targets through offering of full Managed Sportsbook services to potential clients.
  • Propose, agree and work within a budget, developing and maintaining business cases in support of future Sportsbook clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction which includes following up on sales, addressing customer concerns and feedback.
  • Develop relationships with internal Pragmatic Play business teams and external stakeholders and suppliers as well as peers and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Support customer acquisition through attendance at global iGaming conferences to promote the Sportsbook product and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Researching and proactively seeking new business opportunities in the market.
  • Complete demonstrations of our Sportsbook product either remotely or face-to-face to clients and develop specific initiatives to win more new business.
  • Understand customer issues or needs, identifying potential barriers around sales and takes action to align our Sportsbook offering with client needs and market trends.
  • Work with P&L leaders in all regions, communicating new Sportsbook trading products and features, actively marketing new trading products/features in cooperation with Sales, Commercial & Marketing teams.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Minimum one year of experience in a Business Development or Sales Manager role within the iGaming industry, with a specific focus on Sportsbook product.
  • Excellent communication skills, to present and speak to multiple stakeholders. You must exert confidence to attract new clients.
  • Negotiation skills to hit your goals through understanding when to compromise versus when to remain firm.  
  • Time Management skills to ensure you can juggle everything on your plate through setting. 
  • weekly, daily priorities to ensure your priorities get accomplished.
  • Comfortable at collaboration to build relationships, influence and manage escalations with multiple stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Project Management skills to plan and manage sales projects and calculate business cases relating to multiple sales projects.
  • Commercial awareness & analytical skills possessing an understanding of market rates and ability 
  • to use financial analysis and cost modelling to drive ROI. 
  • Deep, intensive knowledge of a Sportsbook product to easily understand how we may excel against our competitors, present gap analysis and awareness of different market conditions.
  • Flexible approach to working hours. The role will require working with internal teams, and potential clients in various locations across different time zones.
  • Availability to travel as the role will require frequent travel to global iGaming conferences and to meet potential clients.
  • High competency in Microsoft Office and sales related software or documents.
  • English written and verbal communication skills – additional languages a bonus;
