We are looking for a Lighting Specialist to lead and actively contribute to daily lighting operations across multiple studio environments, reporting directly to the Head of Lighting. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality execution of setups, operational efficiency, and proper control of lighting equipment and inventory, while supervising Lighting Technicians and supporting hands-on technical tasks as required. The ideal candidate is a responsible, technically skilled, and motivated professional with a strong passion for lighting in audiovisual, film, and television environments.
 
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Supervise and coordinate Lighting Technicians during daily operations
  • Ensure lighting setups, adjustments, and breakdowns are executed correctly and on time
  • Make day-to-day technical decisions to resolve operational issues
  • Oversee inventory control, including tracking, organization, and availability of lighting equipment
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of equipment across studios and storage areas
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and report discrepancies when needed
  • Coordinate with other departments (Studio Production, AV, etc.) to ensure smooth operations
  • Report operational status and issues to the Head of Lighting
  • Enforce safety protocols and best practices
  • Lead by example by actively supporting hands-on technical tasks (setup, operation, and breakdown) when required, ensuring continuity of operations

SCOOPE OF THE ROLE

  • Supervises Lighting Technicians
  • Reports to the Head of Lighting
  • Responsible for execution quality and operational decision-making
  • Accountable for inventory control and equipment organization

 

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU
  • Experience in lighting for studio, broadcast, or film production
  • Experience supervising or coordinating teams
  • Experience managing or overseeing equipment inventory and asset control
  • Solid knowledge of lighting systems, grip equipment, and basic rigging
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make decisions in dynamic environments
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Intermediate-Advanced level of English (able to understand technical instructions and communicate effectively with international teams)
  • Availability to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience assembling and disassembling lighting and grip equipment
  • Technological or professional training in audiovisuals, cinematography, photography or related fields
  • Physical capacity to lift, move, and handle equipment.
