ABOUT THE ROLE
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Contracts Officer to join our team in Malta or Gibraltar. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting and finalising contractual documentation mostly relating to employment and data protection matters, across the business. 
This role will involve close collaboration  with  key stakeholders, including the Legal Employment and Privacy Team to ensure that all contractual arrangements and templates are compliant with applicable legislation and internal governance standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Manage the life-cycle of agreement/letter/notices templates and contracts to ensure variations/amendments are made in line with standard templates, business needs, legal amendments, and record in the relevant folders
- Ensure the correct information is included in templates/contracts and the correct format/template is used, with any options addressed correctly .
- Aid legal counsel in deploying know-how and information to different stakeholders within the company.
- Manage, aid implementation of, and monitor the use of contract execution system and storage, and any developments made to it (using technology and/or processes).
- Act as liaison and chase any missing information, responses, input, decisions required from the respective stakeholders on behalf of the Legal Employment and Privacy Team.
- Seek legal advice when required on Non-standard issues or Fall-Back positions from the Legal Employment and Privacy Team
- Monitor the process end to end to ensure there are no avoidable delays between Business requests and the required contract, on approved terms.
- Conduct legal research and stay abreast with regulatory updates in relation to Employment and Privacy.
- Perform other responsibilities required by the Data Protection Office and Employment and Privacy Team as required. This will include, assisting in the creation and ongoing management of Data Protection Impact Assessments, Transfer Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, Market Assessments and Technical and Organisational Measures.
WHAT WE ASK OF YOU 
- Certifications in law/privacy/employment will be considered an asset.
- Any experience in a similar role is considered a plus.
- Experience with government contracting is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of federal contracting regulations.
- Ability to interpret legal obligations and technological jargon in order to explain complex legal documents and agreements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software programs.
- Active certification as a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) would be a plus.
