Sr. Network Administrator

Professional Plumbing Group (PPG) is seeking a skilled Network Administrator to maintain, upgrade our software hardware and networks ensuring security and efficiency of the IT landscape. Perform systems and network administration and daily monitoring to ensure they are configured, updated, operating and being maintained properly.

Major Responsibilities

  • Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade company networks and infrastructure
  • Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
  • Update servers and security patches every month
  • Support and administer third-party applications
  • Ensure network security and connectivity
  • Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
  • Define network policies and procedures
  • Also, functions as the primary Windows System Administrator for all physical and virtual servers
  • Performs other duties as assigned for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the company
  • Perform other duties as assigned for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the company
  • Ability to work during non-business hours and weekends when required for maintenance

Required qualifications:

  • Previous experience with networking (LAN and WAN).
  • Previous experience as a System Administrator.
  • Ability to work with different operating systems, both server and workstation.
  • Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: customer service; effective listening; monitoring activities; problem solving; recordkeeping.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft server products, including Windows Server 2008 - 2016, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMWare, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, and SQL Server and Microsoft Data Protection Manager.
  • Hands on experience with VMware and Veeam backup application are required.
  • Hands-on experience with supporting critical enterprise support systems such as MS O365 email, Active Directory and secure email solutions.
  • Experience with deploying and supporting Check Point firewalls and Check Point security applications like Sand Blast agent, VPN and end point AV.
  • Experience with HP and Cisco network switches
  • Must be willing to acquire Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager certification within the first year of employment.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and have above average reasoning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree .
  • 7+ years of System Administrator & Network admin experience
  • Solid hands on experience in Infrastructure
