We are seeking a results-driven Sr Supply Chain Analyst to support our Operations team with Supply Chain planning, large customer project management and ERP system coordination of same.  This role will maintain a focused on Continuous Improvement and be based at our Glen Mills, PA distribution center.

 

POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

 

The Sr Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for 2 critical area of the business.  First, supporting large commercial customer project fulfillment, working directly with sales, external suppliers, internal suppliers and logistics providers to ensure excellent customer satisfaction in an ever changing construction based sales channel.  Second, supporting our New Product Development (NPD) group in successfully launching new products including but not limited to demand development, proper system setup, launch coordination with the supplier and all internal coordination to ensure success.  This role will provide Supply Chain support from concept through all phases of launch (first article to PPAP to production) developing and maintaining a process to ensure all requirements are complete to ensure successful launch.

 

This role will work across the organization requiring internal/external relationship building, partnering and interaction related to successful project based Supply Chain initiatives.  This position will drive Continuous Improvement within the organization working with managers and supervisors to implement new or improved processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, Develop, Implement and Manage Commercial Sales Supply Chain project process, workflow and scorecard within Microsoft Dynamics ERP and standard PPG reporting framework (PowerBI)
  • Design, Develop, Implement and Manage NPD / Supply Chain process, workflow and scorecard within Microsoft Dynamics ERP and standard PPG reporting framework (PowerBI)
  • Support overall process improvement and KPI adherence actions within the materials management organization
  • Support monthly reporting of Operations metrics to the business
  • Support the implementation of SOP’s and quality requirements to assure processes include documented records and feedback systems enabling the ability to monitor, track and report performance for continuous improvement
  • Conduct and support problem investigations using structured problem solving tools
  • Support training and department team development as requested by department leadership
  • Effectively correspond with all levels of management and between departments within the organization
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all members of the Company
  • Develop & Prepare key reports as required for performance analysis
  • Make recommendations for and drive continuous improvement

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • In depth understanding of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics A/X preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of materials management strategy
  • Strong knowledge of material planning systems and parameters
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of structured problem-solving tools for determining root cause/corrective actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with associates/management.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures such as 5S, LEAN, Six Sigma.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment as needed

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years planning experience in a global supply chain environment
  • Demonstrated direct sales and customer interfacing
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification experience preferred
  • Must follow established safety practices and correct unsafe work practices on the job by informing the supervision of potential risks

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to create reports using Power BI, Excel, and other visualization tools preferred
  • Strong bias for action and problem solving
