We are seeking a results-driven Business Systems Analyst to support our Operations team with ERP system expertise, report design / development and project based database query capability all focused around a Continuous Improvement mindset at our Glen Mills, PA distribution center.

POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

 

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for developing subject matter expert level expertise in all operations business systems including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics A/X ERP, Power BI Reporting, SQL Server reporting/design/integration.  This key role will work to continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of our business systems ensuring all supplier/customer concerns are considered and addressed.

 

This role will work across the organization requiring internal/external relationship building, partnering and interaction related to business systems utilization.  This position will drive Continuous Improvement within the organization working with managers and supervisors to implement new or improved processes.

  • Implementation of KPI’s and review process

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and Develop improved process and workflow withing Microsoft Dynamics ERP
  • Design and Develop SQL Server Integration Services packages and procedures.
  • Design and Develop Analysis Services models in tabular mode.
  • Design and Develop T-SQL procedures that support the business processes.
  • Design and develop reports using data visualization tools such as PowerBI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Support monthly reporting of Operations metrics to the business.
  • Support the implementation of SOP’s and quality requirements to assure processes include documented records and feedback systems enabling the ability to monitor, track and report performance for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct and support problem investigations using structured problem solving tools
  • Support training and department team development as requested by department leadership.
  • Effectively correspond with all levels of management and between departments within the organization.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with all members of the Company.
  • Develop & Prepare key reports as required for performance analysis.
  • Make recommendations for and drive continuous improvement.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • In depth understanding of ERP systems and database structure (Microsoft Dynamics A/X preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI capability and development
  • Strong knowledge of SQL design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of structured problem-solving tools for determining root cause/corrective actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with associates/management.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures such as 5S, LEAN, Six Sigma.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment as needed

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Supply Chain Systems, IT, Engineering or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years developing business intelligence solutions.
  • 1-3 years of working is a supply chain/distribution environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) certification experience preferred.
  • Must follow established safety practices and correct unsafe work practices on the job by informing the supervision of potential risks

 

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced T-SQL programming
  • C# Development / Power Shell Scripting / DAX
  • Deep knowledge of MS SQL BI Server stack including SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
  • Good understanding of REST and Web API.
  • Ability to create reports using Power BI, Excel, and other visualization tools.
