Position Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Glen Mills, PA

Reports To: Controller

You will be a key contributor responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial results. Additionally, you will partner with various business stakeholders to ensure complete journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and other general accounting responsibilities.   • Deliver accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting
  • Build relationships and confidence through insightful financial analysis, process improvement and operational excellence
  • Support PPG in meeting its financial goals and targets



  • Support Controller and CFO with managing the monthly close and financial reporting
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations including but not limited to cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, inventory, MIT, fixed assets and related items
  • Analyze financial information surrounding balance sheet, income statement to summarize and interpret current and projected financial position for management, including actual vs. budget analysis, historical trends, and determine proper handling of financial transactions.
  • Make recommendations based on analysis of financial results
  • Compile and analyze financial information for general ledger account entries
  • Assist with implementation of A/X accounting system upgrades and improvements
    • AP & AR Automation
    • Financial reporting improvements through new tools or Power BI
  • Develop accounting control process, procedures and recommendations around assigned areas
  • Lead or participate in projects to improve financial accounting and operations
    • Streamline monthly closing timing and reconciliations
    • Bank reconciliations, MIT tracking, rebate accounting, AP automation
  • Assist with financial audits, and monitor compliance with GAAP and company procedures
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and support team as needed


  • The ideal candidate will have experience optimizing manufacturing plant performance, new capital improvements and expenditure, supply chain, and inventory controls. The position will require some cost accounting, general accounting, and FP&A skills.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
  • 5 years of accounting and financial analysis
  • Prior experience in a private equity, manufacturing, or distribution a plus
  • Advanced Excel and Accounting ERP experience
  • Highly organized, motivated, a sense of urgency, and an ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficient skills using MS Office and Excel
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures and their application to a variety of accounting transactions and problems
