 What We Are Looking For:

The Plumbing Parts Specialist loves solving puzzles.  Contractors cannot always recognize the brand or part needed for a repair.  The  Plumbing Parts Specialist is PPG’s problem solver to help that customer.  The Plumbing Parts Specialist cultivates relationships with our clients to solve problems and drive sales.  This is accomplished by addressing inbound phone calls and email requests, sourcing non-stock items, processing orders, answering technical questions and resolving issues or requests using the available resources; as well as, educating our customers on our products and brands - Speakman, Plumbmaster, and Wolverine Brass.

 What You’ll Be Involved In:

  • Answering all incoming calls for Special Services (Non-Stock & Technical Department)
  • Quoting Non-Stock items from requests received via telephone (some require research)
  • Answering technical questions for both Non-Stock & Stock items
  • Preparing and converting quotes for phone/emailed/faxed requests
  • Competitor and/or OEM part number crossover to PlumbMaster part number
  • Answering requests sent to department email and left on voice mail
  • Enter quotes/orders that are requested through the customer service phone group
  • Process returns on orders.

 Key Skills and Experience

  • Former plumbing experience and/or experience at a plumbing or industrial parts distributor
  • Customer service and/or sales experience preferred
  • Comfortable communicating via phone and email
  • Microsoft Office Experience
  • Comfortable learning CRM and ERP systems
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Enjoy working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service and Marketing
