Regional Business Development Specialist - Midwest

Position Summary and Description:
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for key growth targets and drive revenue opportunity for our Regional Sales Team. Responsibilities include developing and executing on a pipeline of new accounts, prospecting leads, and expanding share of wallet within existing customer base.
The position is a remote role and is viewed as an important extension of our Sales Teams and will report directly to the Regional Director of Sales.
Key Objectives
· Drive National Account Opportunities
· Identifying leads, researching, and developing them within the Plumbing and HVAC contractor industries
· Targeting growth opportunities by forming strategic partnerships in new vertical markets
· Provide sales support to Account Relationship Manager (ARM) within a specific territory as assigned by Sales Director
· Coordinate sales efforts to maximize Distribution Hubs penetration in local markets.
· This is a hunting position that requires cold calling and is an Inside Sales position.
Formal Education & Training:
Bachelor or Associates degree preferred or 5 years in related business development/sales skill. Understanding of building trades industry, a plus.
Background & Experience:
Strong work ethic, self- motivated and demonstrating a passion for sales and business development and working knowledge of Excel and CRM are a must. Strong business acumen, specifically related to communicating with both clients as well as internal team members. Position requires professional and confident telephone and computer skills. Demonstrates outstanding customer interaction to facilitate long term relationships for repeat business.
