Position Title: Northwest Regional Sales Manager - Commercial

Location: Northwest Region of the United States

Reports To: Director of Commercial Sales


PPG has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced sales manager to join our Commercial team in the Northwest.  This role will be critical in driving sales and territory growth in the commercial/hospitality channels for the Northwest geographical region. This role will partner with key wholesale distributors to drive stocking programs. He/she will cultivate effective relationships with clients to develop solutions for their project needs. The role also includes managing key specification representative agencies in territory.



  • Achieve annual sales and growth metrics for northwest region
  • Manage and grow 10 specification rep agencies
  • Manage and grow at least 1 hospitality rep agency
  • Establish or maintain long-term, sustainable, value-based relationships with PPG’s key accounts




  • Find, establish and grow new key accounts (including distribution)
  • Manage the regional Commercial pipeline project closures for the year ($3M)
  • Partner with Rep agencies to build and grow the pipeline with new hospitality projects ($4M)
  • Manage rep agencies to close projects not funneled through the pipeline ($2M)
    • Showrooms/Builders/Multifamily
  • Manage monthly budgets
  • Manage profitability to drive sales margins on all projects
  • Work with safety regional manager on pull-through business plan
  • Drive key National Account business
  • Drive new product sales



  • Bachelors degree required and/or 6-8 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience selling with territory growth
  • Experience working with reps/distributors
  • Experience working w/in a CRM to manage funnel
  • Proven success in a sales, marketing and/or field applications roles
  • Experience in price negotiation/competition analysis
  • Thorough market knowledge of plumbing supplies is preferable but not mandatory
  • Demonstrated closing skills
