PPG IS LOOKING TO HIRE A DYNAMIC WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR TO JOIN OUR WAREHOUSE TEAM!

We are seeking a result-driven Warehouse Supervisor to organize and oversee the daily busy operations of our Glen Mills PA distribution center. The right candidate will provide inspired leadership to empower our workforce and lead to outstanding results.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Oversee and track all fulfillment operations such as picking, packing and shipping materials
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve accuracy issues
  • Lead and manage Warehouse efficiency goals and KPI’s
  • Will, hire and train new employees
  • Apply supervisory responsibilities, company policies, procedures, and applicable law
  • Ensure the timely entry of all transactional data for inbound and/or outbound material and all material movement within storage locations
  • Continuously evaluate warehouse layout to ensure the most efficient workflow, storage capacity, equipment and workforce utilization possible
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Model established safety practices and correct unsafe work practices on the job by informing the supervision of potential risks

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience supervising others, preferably in a distribution center
  • Hands-on management style
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • Results driven approach
  • Working knowledge of warehouse systems, processes, and procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with associates/management
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the supply chain and/or warehouse distribution field such as, 5S, LEAN, Six Sigma, Visual Management
  • Has experience operating and /or supervising warehouse powered industrial forklift equipment operators
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics A/X preferred, but experience in WMS applications required
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to walk while carrying tools, parts, materials, bins, etc.
  • Must be comfortable wearing all leather work shoes or equivalent, safety eyewear, and occasional process or equipment specific personal protective equipment as required.
  • Rotational Saturday coverage is a requirement
