Sr. Manager, Big Data, AI/ML and Engineering Systems

 

Job Description: 

 

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Sr. Manager, Big Data, AI/ML and Engineering Systems is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation and support of Power Integrations’ systems for Big Data, AI, ML and Engineering applications. The candidate requires expert knowledge of state-of-art Big Data and AI/ML technologies and options, both on premise and in the Cloud, with substantial implementation experience.  A strong software engineering background and experience in agile software and system delivery, including DevOps, are a big plus.  Experience in data analytics or data sciences are another plus.  The candidate must have managed hybrid teams comprised of onsite and offshore employees and consultants. Semiconductor industry experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Develop the strategic direction and roadmap for Big Data, AI/ML and Engineering systems and applications
  • Architect, implement and manage Power Integrations Big Data, AI/ML and Engineering systems
  • Oversee internal software development and software development processes
  • Manage a hybrid team of software developers and systems engineers and data scientists
  • Work with business stake holders to delivery systems that meet business requirements
  • Manage and deliver programs and projects on time and budget

 

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in managing and implementing Big Data solutions and systems
  • Experience in managing and implementing AI/ML solutions and systems
  • Expert knowledge of state-of-art Big Data technologies and options
  • Cloud-savvy and experience in implementing Big Data solutions in the Cloud, preferably Amazon AWS
  • Database administration expertise of relational and columnar databases
  • Ability to work with large data sets with highly diverse data in multiple types and formats, and sources
  • Must have worked on big data solution implementations of large databases exceeding 50 Terabytes in size
  • Substantial software development experience and knowledge
  • Experience in agile software and system delivery, including DevOps
  • Program and Project Management experience
  • A proven ability and history of working effectively with offshore employees and consultants
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Semiconductor Industry experience

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) major or equivalent experience required
